Well, what do I say
about myself.... I'm a person in transition and flux. (Yeah, but we all
are, aren't we?) I
have more interests than I have time to devote to them. I
love computers and my great passion is theatre. I have BA's
in both theatre and English, but am currently a LAN Admin for a large,
Fortune 100 telecommunications company. Not really related to my
education, sure, but I do a lot of documentation and web development
for them. So I guess it's related. I'm 6'2" and stocky, and can do very well at Trivial Pursuit and can have a good conversation about quantum physics, but will forget the names of my own friends and family at the drop of a hat and can't spell worth a lint's drat. (Why should I be able to spell? My modem has 'error correction' *grin*) Actually I have a DSL connection now. It's several times better than a dial-up connection, but I'm not very happy with the service. SW Bell. Speed's not great and the connection drops all the time. Seriously considering going back to a cable modem! Speaking of family, I have a wonderful, beautiful daughter. Emily. (You know, I love that name, and I have no regrets choosing it, but I had NO idea until after just how common it is.) She was born in Jan of 1999, and I instantly fell in love. I really don't like kids very much I have to be honest, but she's amazing! From the first time I saw her my heart melted. And she's so pretty and smart. *sigh* I'm also very into role-playing games, and fantasy and sci-fi. My favorite fantasy writer is Steven Brust of the "Jhereg" series. Favorite fantasy artist is Keith Parkinson. And despite my great interest in all of this since I was 8, I have been to only one sci-fi convention. I'm rather disappointed in myself actually. However Vision-con is coming up. Springfield, MO's annual convention. I have a link to it on my SpriGH web page. Pizza's my favorite food to eat, gumbo my favorite to make. Tori Amos, Nine Inch Nails, Tea Party, Peter Gabriel are my favorite music artists. "Blade Runner," "Crimson Tide," "Heavenly Creatures," and especially "American Beauty" are my favorite movies. Mudslides, White Russians, and whiskey and Coke are my favorite drinks. Well, take a look at my links page, and you'll learn a lot about me. Everything there is either an interest of mine, or something that I believe should be taken a look at by people. For example, I'm not a pagan. I'm sort of a...pseudo-non-biblical-Christian. However, some of the ideas of paganism I like. And especially Celtic culture. So I have a couple pagan pages on my links because there may be some kernel of something I like. Anyway, feel free to email me if you like. If you want to discuss a common interest or debate a conflicting one. I'm afraid I really can't go into more detail in my life unless I know you, but I go into more about my beliefs and philosophies in my Thoughts page. Thanks for your interest. =)
