Local book, comic, and hobby
stores need the support of their community!
With the ease and increasing availability of on-line gaming supply
shopping , a lot of local stores have found it hard to
keep a stable clientele.
Brick-n-mortar comic and gaming shops are icons of
gaming history. Many of us remember with nostalgia at rummaging
through dice bins for "just the right one" and browsing the
latest Dragon magazine while checking in to see if a new module'd been
released. Not to mention looking with amused disdain at who the
current publisher of "Traveller" is....
Fortunately, the situation is improving. While
pencil-n-paper gaming had been in a slump during the early 90's, the
last few years has seen an upswing. Many smaller companies have
brought new and exciting products to the table and Wizards of the
Coast has breathed new life into D&D. Not to mention the rising
popularity of table-top/miniature gaming. Visit
your local game-monger and visit often. Let them know you appreciate
their investment in both the industry and in their support of the
local community.
