PLAYER EXPECTATIONS
As a player of an organized game involving other people, there are expectations that are... expected of you. Don't groan--they're not too tough.

1) Be able to post at least 4 times a week.
(This isn't asking too much I think. It's the minimum I'll be able to send Official Game Updates.)

2) Treat the other players, the DM (*grins*), and the game itself with respect.
(This isn't a command to LIKE the game. If you don't like the game, feel free to drop out with no hard feelings. But as long as you're in the game, be a polite player (even if your character is rude and gruff,) and respect the other players who are trying to have a good time and the DM who's working hard to help the players have a good time.)

That's pretty much it. Not too bad. If I find need to have to add things later, I will. But I think this is all that's necessary for right now.

DM EXPECTATIONS
Yes, I believe there's a certain level and behavior the DM should be accountable for. And here's what I think you as a player can and should be able to expect from me.

1) Post Official Game Updates no less than 4 times a week.
(Naturally, if all the players have submitted an Official Post, I'll send out a Game Update ASAP and as often as I receive a full compliment of players' Official Posts--so it's possible Game Updates can be more than one a day if everyone's going at a good clip.)

2) Be fair and consistant, even when bending the rules.
(Don't look surprised, sometimes GM's bend the rules. But I can guarantee it will always be for the sake of benefitting good role-play or possibly to correct a previous error. I won't prevent the characters from taking more damage warrented, but I also won't favor my NPC's or creatures either. Most likely, if someone really thinks the outcome of something should be different than what happened, they can petition me for a reconsideration, and I may or may not change results depending.)

3) Help facilitate an environment of cooperation and enjoyment.
(This may seem so basic as it souldn't have to be mentioned, but I feel it does. I'm not simply a rules arbitrator, I'm acting as a storyteller and world designer. I'm creating places and people and action that I anticipate will be fun for me, and am inviting you to live in, interact with, and alter with your actions. If my players aren't having fun, I'm not having fun. If players are having problems with each other, it makes my job harder and I don't like that *grin*. So I'll do what I can to properly mix suspense, fear, anticipation, rewards, and wonder with fair judging and open communication and consideration.)

GAME EXPECTATIONS
This is going to be the best game ever! The next Dragonlance!
(*big smiles*) OK, I really don't believe that. It would be nice, but I'm expecting something a WEE bit less epic and commercially successful.
Actually, hopefully not that much less epic. My goal for the game is to start small: 1st level characters in a simple dungeon crawl adventure. But quickly after to start expanding bit by bit into the realization of a whole world. Hopefully, if I do my job right and real-world issues don't interfere too much, the players who start with the first campaign will stick with it and become high level figures in a world that's rich and exciting.
