Congratulations! That is really awesome. We have a lot in common. I majored in English, with a concentration in journalism. Like you, I’m sure I was the only kid in school who actually did the assigned reading, and I loved it. I was a real bookworm. I did everything possible to get out of gym so I could sit and read Emily Dickinson. I was in theatre all through high school and college, and was pretty obsessed with it for a long time. But my true passion was anthropology, which I suppressed because it wasn’t an appropriate thing for girls to do at the time, and the adults in my life convinced me that I was stupid. I didn’t pursue it in college because I sucked at math. The science courses required were heavily weighted in math, and I wasn’t up to it. Man, I wish I could turn back time! Anyway… I’m very happy for you! Quite an accomplishment.
