American Politbureau, and High Crimes and Misdemeanors

The political right constantly scream about “the liberal media,” but the major news agencies are run by corporate Republican party supporters who if for no other reason than political loyalty, steer the news away from major administration issues for fear of losing access to the White House.
Two very important cases in point:
A couple of days ago president shrub signed an executive order to place political appointees in every government agency to oversee budget, public relations, and outgoing documents with the express purpose of making sure these agencies (some of which are for the purpose of science or civic service like NASA and NOAA,) reflect the president’s value based agenda.
Where is the outrage?! Where is the “liberal media’s” criticism?! The New York Times is the only major outlet I can find to report on this and it’s up to independent bloggers to spread the word:

(Take a moment to read some of the comments on that site: You’ll hear from former citizens of Communist states who moved here to get away from this exact situation.)
In other words, the president has recreated the Soviet politbureau. He is politicizing what should be politically neutral public service and information to prevent the releasing of a message that might be counter to his agenda (like evolution and global warming.)
And in other news that is possibly even worse, yet, also possibly good news as well, prez. shrub has been implicated in the CIA outing trial which at the least proves he’s been lying to the public (SHOCK!) about his (supposed lack of) involvement, and at worst, could lead to a charge of “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

This of course bad news for America, but good news in that it’s possible we could have an impeachment of both shrub and Cheney!
Those few shrub supporters still out there might shrug it off and say “Eh, there’s less than two years left, why bother.”
Because our country (and because our Congress is supposed to be representing we the people it’s appropriate to refer to the country.) impeached a President for lying about a private sexual affair–what does it mean if we let one who is responsible for releasing state secrets for political vengeance off scott free?! (Not to mention of course the outright lying and data manipulation in order to gain support for an illegal war we began.)
And again, where’s the outrage from the “liberal media”? This is a development that rivals the Alexander Butterfield Senate hearings revelation! But nothing from the mainstream media! Hello? Anyone awake over there at CNN? ABC? MSNBC?
