There was a massive deadly U.S. terrorist attack in 2007!

…I guess we just missed hearing about it or something:

Religious Broadcaster Pat Robertson Predicts Horrific Terrorist Attack on U.S. in 2007

Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson predicted Tuesday a horrific terrorist act on the United States that will result in “mass killing” late in 2007.

“I’m not necessarily saying it’s going to be nuclear,” he said during his news-and-talk television show “The 700 Club” on the Christian Broadcasting Network. “The Lord didn’t say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that.”

Robertson said God told him during a recent prayer retreat that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after September.

I wonder how many people trust and believe in this “religious” paragon of theistic authority, and lived in fear and panic the last few months. But is Robertson held to accountability for what he says? Nope, because it’s religious speech. You wrap anything in religious speech, and you get a pass from being criticized and held accountable.
