It's bad enough these perpetrators of war crimes aren't getting what they deserve and aren't being impeached or even investigated...what kind of message does this give to following presidents?
When we can see that the "leader of the free world" can get away with just about anything and the people will just shrug and watch their Idol, what will the next president, and the one after that, get away with?
It's not important just to have criminals in high places removed and punished, but to remind those who strive for the same position that they're not going to get away with similar or worse acts.

Good points, but,
1. Even when an organization claims an exclusive, the other organizations report on it be then cite the originating org. as the source. "Next on CNN, ABC News has reported that...."

2. That's true for papers, but we don't live in a paper publishing news world anymore. News is 24-hours. If something is reported on Friday evening, it can be available Friday night to hit the news channels and Web sites.

3. And that's the big problem! We've gotten so jaded by the actions of the Bush crime family, we either think "Oh, isn't that old news?" or "Yeah, that's expected." And this happens because no one is doing a damn thing from day one so we're lead down this path of ennui which allows them to get away with murder.
It's my entire point I made in my last point: we're the sleepy frog in the pot of water slowly coming to a boil. We'll be asleep when we die (metaphorically speaking).

I think the problem is threefold.

1. ABC was claiming an exclusive.

2. It was reported on a Friday, meaning that it would have to be published Saturday, a day in which no one actually reads the paper.

3. It's hardly news. Everyone has figured that he knew about and approved of the torture the entire time.

The media wasn't the only ones that yawned. I did too. At this point nothing that comes out about Bush is the least bit shocking. The only thing that would make me take serious notice is if he said or did something intelligent.
