I, like half the commentors, hope that this will be short-lived. Unless everyone in the government and the legal system has gone crazy, this is too far. But if it does stand up to challenge, woe to us all!

Seriously. Let’s face it: the Founding Fathers were themselves experts of terrorist and guerrilla warfare of the time. Even despite that, like some commentors say, the office of the President only exists because of the legal adherence to the limitations of the Constitution. Any belief or behavior that puts the President above the constraints of the Constitution by letter or spirit makes the President equal to a dictator.
